Support for Teachers’ Guide

Sample answers for all of the discussion questions are included. However as long as the student can support his/her response with evidence from the text, that answer would be correct. In fact, many of the questions were designed so that the student and instructor may analyze the questions and engage in a lively debate. The goal is to use evidence from the text to support informative positions. All the questions/answers should be discussed between the student and the instructor, or among students, to ensure reading comprehension has taken place. In addition, the Teacher’s Guide provides definitions for all the vocabulary words. The guide also explains how to implement a semantic feature analysis and/or create a character map as a final project.
